Jackie Leavitt considers herself first and foremost a traveler. Next comes journalist. Out of all the activities that Jackie enjoys (salsa dancing until drenched in sweat, rock climbing until palms and forearms ache, eating delicious food like mashed sweet potatoes), traveling makes her feel most alive and fulfilled. Having lived all over the country, from Utah and Montana to Massachusetts and New Hampshire, and traveled internationally (notably Italy, Greece, Ireland, and Turkey), she prefers a life on the road rather than a 9-to-5 desk job. Jackie graduated from the University of New Hampshire with bachelors degrees in journalism and European culture studies (minor in Italian) and recently shipped off to San Francisco, where she currently resides.
