After graduating with a B.A. in Journalism and History from Lehigh University, she spent two years in Vail, CO, immersing herself in the mountain culture. She worked as a photographer’s assistant and freelance writer. Upon returning to Chicago, she worked in communications for various nonprofits and continued to freelance writing and photography.
